Meh, IMHO the whole nightfall thing is pants. Maybe it's just because I'm anti-guild wars atm. I dunno. I've just totally lost interest in it. Maybe this will change soon.
What do all you lot think of it? _________________ Miss Von Teese, if you please... |

1: i didnt get the nightfall preview, despite the fact the fact that i wanted it, the stores just dont have it !
2:i know what you're talking about Afty periods in which i lose total interest in my MMOPRG, some short (2days), some long (2 months).
In my case it was always the result of too little change in my GW activities:
overfarming, overpvping, same chars over and over again, general overgaming etc. anyway, nightfall should give you a boost, but if it doesnt help i recommend a completely lineair, non rpg,non-free roaming game.
Something that can keep you occupied long enough to get sick of it and want to try something completely different again.
3: Normally i'ld say all chars are equal, just different, but i've found out this simple isnt the thruth, the sin is overfocused on pvp and not too sueted for PVE, despite that they hardle ever get used in high-tactic battles due to infuriating problems with comboblocks and escaping being its main best defensive tactic.
The rit is the exact opposite, PVE focused and avoided from PVP due to the fact that they posses almost no effective ways to combine attack and defence (knockdown, life draining, crippling, antispam spells, etc)
But i have a lot more faith in these nightfall chars.
the paragon has the potential of becoming a great supportive proffesion, heightening defense, attackpower and who knows (energyrenewal?)
if Anet gives them the right skills they should lead to the creation of great PVE and PVP builds.
The dervish, with his ability to hit multiple foes with his scythe, as wel as to (and this we know for sure) his ability to spam defensive and AoE attackenchantments will without doubt creat powerful PVE tanks, as wel as nukers similair to starburst eles
If you had to choose, i'd take the dervish, as its not only the coolest one, but is alrdy known to have potential since the preview weekend _________________

Adam, the nightfall preview isn't in the stores, hun. It's just a long weekend. All you need to do is load it up and get the key from the website and you have free access to it all weekend. The actual game comes out in October sometime.
I think my problem with GW is not GW itself, but everything else I have going on in my life. I want to get interested in Nightfall, but I just can't at the moment. I don't have the time (or the oomph) at the moment to dedicate to creating a new char and trying everything out.
Nightfall is more PvE, which is what I enjoy most about the Guild Wars series, so I probably will end up getting it when it comes out and giving it a go.
I am quite interested in the Paragon more so than the Dervish, just as I was more interested in the Assassin than the Ritualist. I guess what I'm saying is that with each chapter of the game, I find myself more attached to one profession than another and it doesn't really depend on it being a certain class type. I'm not just partial to magic users or to just melee chars. I enjoy playing different characters, but not necessarily all of them if you get my meaning. For example, I cannot stand being a monk, and have no desire ever to make one. I made a smiting monk once and got fed up and deleted her, and I'll never make another one.
Anyway, not much of that made any sense, I'm sorry. I do think with time, I'll come back to GW more actively, and banter back and forth with all you guys. I do really miss the friendships. You guys rock! _________________ Miss Von Teese, if you please... |
