Faction DonationsI`m sure you`ve all realised that there seems to be only certain people who donate regulary, this isn`t some bitch attack or whatever, i know that some people don`t like PvP etc etc.
I`m not just ranting and i know that i certainly don`t contribute the most faction towards the guild, however last night for example i was on from 5:30 to around 8:30 and i was the only person that donated as far as i could tell. This isn`t a personal attack on anybody in particular, but even when asked the majority stay deadly silent, and as stated many times we are a faction based Guild.
I`d like to just have a chance for us to get togther and have a chat about the hiring and firing .... i`m welcome to comments so feel free to shout me down on this if i`ve offended any1 or over stepped the mark or whatever......

Yeah, I totally agree with you there... Similarly, I know I'm nothing close to the top contributors in the guild, but I still do my best to donate. Even if I'm totally sucking at ab (which I often do) I try some ff. I have been on a number of times when there are about 15+ members on, and have gone afk at some stage, then when I check the faction again roughly 3 hours later, it either hasn't changed or it's gone up by 5-10k... Pretty bad for that amount of members on...
I'll be honest, earning faction is far from my strongpoint, but because I like this guild and the people in it, I do what I can for the faction. If anyone does a faction call, I respond if I can or can't (although, I have missed a few calls from being afk which I found by scrolling up the chat history). Yet, 90% of the time I have heard (well, 'read' actually) an ab call, about 10-20% of the members online respond...
Also, the whole thing about members reporting donations to an officer went mostly unoticed because in the whole time Afton & Jamie were away, I saw 1 person reporting their donations, and even your announcement about our rapidly dropping faction, the vast majority ignored it...
I guess the bottom line is, we have quite a few 'tag-alongs' in the guild who could easily be replaced by better members... Just because you're really good at defeating Shiro or whatever, if you aren't helping your guild you may as well not have one... I don't think what you said is a bitch attack, I think it is quite valid needs to be addressed. Maybe making an announcement something like this might perk them into gear...
'Any members consistently failing to donate faction & report their donation WILL be kicked from the guild without question. We have a forum, so there are no excuses like "There was no officer online" etc... Joining a guild is not a free ride, your weight has to be pulled, or it's bye-bye-bobby...'
Maybe a little harsh (had another bad day... 16 days straight at work with another 4 to go before I get a day off...)

I totally agree on this one, you two. The problem for me at the moment is I have my kids off school and it is a total bitch to get the time even to sit down for a pee let alone time for ab. I know I need to be doing better myself and things should improve in 10 days or so. I have my parents coming out next week for a week, so it will be thin for me.
I think the thing that's so upsetting for me is to contstantly have to tell people to get faction. They should know by now and not need me to babysit them or hold their hand or beat them over the head to get them to faction. We should be well over 800k now, but I get on and see it under 700k. It's just so frustrating for me as a guild leader to know that people only get faction, etc when I'm online and when I'm not able to, thinking they can get away with not getting any. I'm not stupid and yet they seem to think that I am...
Again, I'm not bitching at you two... but some days I get so fed up with being a guild leader.

Okay guys time to give my opinion on the subject.
I have donated faction to my guild since the my first stay in a large alliance (at that time a large alliance had like 400k), I have watched alliances rise and fall, and in the end i am left with a title and 715k donated faction.
But at this moment, i just cant get myself to care anymore!
I know this isn't fair to the rest of you who spend a lot of time farming and donating this to the guild  , but ever since the alliance decided to shutdown the FFmachine, my drive has been crushed.
the only time i stil donate is when i feel srry for you guys working hard but getting no reward, but is pity a reason to FF  ?
Maybe it's not the same for you guys, but i have experienced everything the whole alliancerace had to offer: i owned hzh(twice), i met hundreds of ppl, i launched fireworks and had parties in the alliance-only areas...(involving lots of beer and naked female sins )
....But now every timee i donate 5k, i just feel i threw away 4k in amber (and i can rly use 4k!)
i know none of that changes the fact i'm letting you guys down 
but i try and understand, i do like you guys ya know

I see both points of view here. I know how people want to get amber for their armour, etc and working your tail off and donating faction when no one else is, is a major pisser. Personally, I'm not going to get any new armour from factions now because Nightfall is coming out. I'll just save my scheckles until then and get the new armour. Everyone has to remember though that the major thing of this guild (at the moment) is faction. It may very well change direction when Nightfall comes out and we see if there's anything we like better. Personally, I am also kinda fed up with faction as I never got to PvE. But, as I said, we'll wait and see what comes out with Nightfall. I orignally saw this guild as a small one, full of very close friends just banding together for a laugh and it may very well go back to being just that. I have got to the point where I'm not enjoying it as much anymore because of the pressure of faction.
Anyway... I have now got rid of all my company - apart from my one lodger, who is going to stay for a while anyway cos he's cute, so I'll be on again soon. Winnie you can put me back as leader whenever you want now.

OMG i seem to have lost the sight in both my eyes, goodjob i bought that new headset and set it up for voice typy thingy stuff ain`t it.
You know if i could see at this precise moment in time i would have read any new posts, maybe ones about my greatness and my prowess in the bedroom department.
I suppose i`ll have to hand leadership back to Afty at some point, although who knows when she will make this request

Its like anything, when you have to do it, sometimes it becomes a bit boring etc. I like AB's, and i like playing with all you guys, but sometimes when your like the only one faction farming it can get a bit depressing.
You kinda keep checkin the guilds faction waiting for it to jump up 50k, i don`t think its people not liking faction farmin, this thread was mainly started to talk about spreading the load, kinda recruiting new members so we all had time to do other stuff without our faction dropping.
