You can knock Tellytubbies or Tweenies or Bob the Builder but do not fuck with Dora! That is one of the few shows I can handle and she has been a great benefit to my disabled daughter who speaks Spanish better than normal kids her age. Ok, her room is all decked out in Dora and we have Dora EVERYTHING, but there are worse things, trust me. High School Musical (ask my older one about that - makes me want to toss my cookies) Pokemon (how I loathe anything Pokemon). There is this HORRIBLE show on Nick Jr. from Australia (sorry there, Jai) called "The Fairies". Oh dear Lord in Heaven. There is the campest elf on that. He couldn't be more obviously gay unless he shouted it. That whole show makes me want to commit suicide everytime it's on. If you don't know what I mean, put it in your search engine, and pretty soon, you too can be suicidal!

I do have to say though, that I miss the days of Transformers, He-Man (and She-Ra), Smurfs (they Rock) and - let's see if anyone knows this one - Star Blazers. And, of course, nothing beats good old Sesame Street and Oscar the Grouch.

Mind you, growing up I never saw Fraggle Rock as it was on HBO only and my parents didn't believe that HBO was a good influence on young minds as they showed movies they didn't deem appropriate, so I was left wondering what the hell it was about and all my friends whose parents were cool got to watch it.
