Call me a sentimental silly person but I personally am quite saddened by the fact that all the world's astronomers have decided to demote Pluto from being a planet to a "Trans-Neptunian" object. Sniff. Sad

I think it's rather sad, to be honest. I grew up as an avid budding astronomer and Pluto was always part of it. It's weird to think that we've just "lost" a planet... I was rather hoping that we'd gain 3 more, because that was part of the proposition that they were coming up with. That would have put a planet between Mars and Jupiter, put Pluto's Moon as a sister planet, and then one more planet after Pluto.

I was always taught about Pluto in the solar system, but never paid attention, hence why i wont miss it

Sentimental crap! Am I the only one who is possitiv that they took away a meteor from the planet list!? Seriosuly it's not even big enough to creat a gravity field that makes it geo-looking (round-close to being round)... dah... sentimental crap I say!
